Effect of filler on performance of porous asphalt pavement using multiscale finite element method

Porous asphalt (PA) pavements are widely employed in areas with wet climates. As particle enhancement inclusions mastic, mineral fillers play essential roles improving the performance of PA pavements. This study developed a coupled multiscale finite element (FE) model, involving mesostructure mixture and pavement. Four types mastic properties were four (Granodiorite, Limestone, Dolomite, Rhyolite) mesoscale portion pavement model to analyse effects filler on The performances (load-bearing capacity, rutting resistance, ravelling resistance) different identified ranked, their correlations chemical components analysed. computational results showed that Rhyolite Granodiorite have higher load-bearing capacities while Limestone Dolomite can improve resistance In correlation analysis, Al2O3 SiO2 dominant pavements, high percentages CaO
